This explains what Rod n Reel collects, why, and what you can do about it.
What we collect
- When you order: your name, email, shipping address, and phone number if you give one. Your payment card is entered directly with Stripe and never reaches our server.
- When you create an account: the above, plus your saved addresses and order history.
- When you subscribe to email: your email address and the record of your confirmation.
- When you browse, and only if you consent: analytics and advertising identifiers.
Why we collect it
To take payment, to get your order to you, to answer your emails, and to meet our tax and accounting obligations. If you have consented, also to understand how the site is used and to advertise.
Who we share it with
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Our fulfilment partners — the name and address needed to deliver your order, and nothing else.
- Google and Meta — only if you consent to analytics or advertising cookies.
We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies
Cookies needed to run the cart and checkout are always set. Analytics and advertising cookies are set only after you accept them, and you can change your mind at any time from the cookie settings link in the footer.
Marketing email is opt-in only, and confirmed by clicking a link we email you. Creating an account or placing an order does not subscribe you. Every marketing email carries an unsubscribe link and our contact details.
How long we keep it
Order records for seven years, because tax law requires it. Marketing subscriptions until you unsubscribe. Analytics data for 14 months.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email support@rod-n-reel.com and we will respond within 30 days. We may need to keep order records that tax law requires us to retain.
